Sewing for boutique sales and charity
- A very hot (no pun intended) seller at craft fairs, Lisa calls ’em soup bowl koozies; others call them microwave bowl potholders. A couple of tutorials are linked below. Just remember ALL materials (fabric, thread, and batting) MUST be 100% cotton to avoid melting and fire mishaps.

- Soup bowl cozy (PDF) from Happy Hour Stitches – this version can be easily printed. Uses a piece of batting (2 total per koozie) on each piece of fabric, and she even has tips for other ways to use the bowls – read the comments too for ideas from her readers.
- Microwave bowl potholders – not printer friendly, but has clear instructions, good photos, and great tips for mass producing them by making a cardboard template for marking darts. Uses two pieces of batting (2 squares of fabric + 2 squares of batting.
