This year’s raffle quilt was inspired by a quilt Ann Aquilino saw in a quilt shop in St. Louis The pattern is Reminisce by Lori Smith.
Committee members: Ann Acquilano and Sheila Fredette Co-chairs, Ann Loy, Mary Widds, Gail Von Hoene, Kathy Stinehelfer, Phyllis Gnau, Miranda Slade.
We added the rainbow border to make the finished size queen to king.
Sheila completed the center to the flying geese. Mary made the flying geese, Phyllis made the diamonds. The small squares were made by Kathy Stinehelfer and Ann Acquilano. Ann Loy, Miranda Slade and Gail Von Hoene made the large squares. It was a very challenging pattern. We decided we wanted to add a border and discussed several options. The shaded border was agreed on. Phyllis and I worked on piecing it together. The challenging part was the mitered corners. Gail Von Hoene quilted it for us on her long arm. The last step was adding the binding. We had a little binding party at my house. Ann Loy, Kathy Stinehelfer, Enola Klingbeil and I stitched the binding down. It is now ready for its trip around the quilt show circuit with Lisa Rawling. The first will be our quilt show in March.
